“Well, you know, we’d all love to change the world.”
We tried voting, complaining, feigning indifference.
Tried moaning, explaining, exposing special interests.
Doesn’t cut it.
What then works?
Karl Marx spewed it, became a curse.
Adam Smith pitched it, made it worse.
Jefferson nursed it, got dispersed.
I’m all for the passing lane, but gaining the highway, you sometimes have to shift in reverse.
“Upon this rock I will build my Church,” says Jesus, “and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
We all know about hell, we try to defeat it, but it keeps on repeating it.
There’s a crashing coming on.
Bust down the gates.
The Church attacks, hell cannot combat it. [Clip]
[“You say you got a real solution, well you know, we’d all love to see the plan.”]
Jesus lays it out.
Preach it, make ‘em hear it, propel a change with it, bathe it in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
It’s not a matter that the Church can.
The Church will change the world.
Here’s the plan. [Clip]
[“You ask me for a contribution. Well, you know we’re all doing what we can.”]
The contribution is what God has set in the Church, the true Church, the Orthodox Church:
First, Apostles.
Second, Prophets.
Third, Teachers.
1) The Orthodox Church has the Apostles, and the authority inherent in them.
How so?
Through the Apostolic Succession of the priesthood of our Bishops.
It’s biblical you know.
Paul appointed Titus to ordain bishops without hesitation.
Paul appointed Timothy to ordain bishops and listed their qualifications.
The Apostolic Succession continues to the present only in the Orthodox Church.
Rome lost it through the domination of the Franks under Charlemagne.
Protestants don’t even want it, to their utter deficit, under Luther, Calvin, and Henry the VIII.
2) The Orthodox Church —”The Israel of God”— has Prophets, both in the Old and New Testaments.
Its prophetic ministry of the prophets continues through the apostolic succession to this very day.
You need to know it, you’ll find it only in the Orthodox Church.
How so?
By the prophetic gift that declares God’s love for man by our priests, clergy, monastics, and people.
That declaration is the Spirit of prophecy.
The Spirit of prophecy is Jesus.
We got Him as our Head, right here in His Body, His Bride, the Orthodox Church.
3) The Orthodox Church has as her pride possession, the continuation of ‘Pauline’ Teachers.
How so?
By the Holy Spirit in-energizing our teachers who carry forth the Deposit of Faith once given to the saints.
The utterance of this instruction is not stale, dry, academic, pedantic, bookish, garden-varietyish, humdrumish, lingo-istic, nor religio-istic.
It’s life-changing, energizing, effulgence-filled promulgation, not in word only, but in power.
It translates from darkness to light.
It eradicates the invisible bonds of enslavement to the devil unto service to the Lord Who alone has invincible might.
What will change the world?
Not politics, not the ballot box, not the right, not the left, not Trump, not Newsome, not a Speaker, not a Leaker, not nationalism, not globalism, not a free-thinker, nor the latest-trend seeker.
Thank you for setting things straight from a higher level. I feel like this video is a response to inquiries as to what happened to your political videos. Although those videos served a purpose as to being not only entertaining but eye opening and also served to get people to inquire about the orthodox church. At the end of the day, all that matters is ones relationship with the almighty. I am glad that i was able to see those videos which helped bring me to where i am now. They broke the mundane and some people really need that to wake up. These ‘bible with brother’ videos are also very enlightening just not as entertaining. Either way, its obvious how the holy spirit guides your knowledge that you present. Its truly amazing and i want to say thank you for it.
I agree wholeheartedly but I think that politics and nationalism are good tools in the hands of the faithful. Orthodoxy builds and preserves nations whereas everything else confounds them. So nationalism, namely the love for one’s own country and people, would be a prerequisite for a nation’s conversion to Christianity. Politics too, if put to good use, would pave the way for a nation’s conversion. I understand that there are many toxic forms of nationalism but what’s worse? Patriotic people who resist conversion, like the Chinese and the Arabs, or bad Christians who make a mockery of their religion?
Anyway, thank you for your message. Clear and concise as usual.
