Revving up his hypnotized spectators into a colossal Group Therapy Session, Olsteen primes his emotional invalids to recite a “confession” that replaces the historic Nicene Creed.
For Nicene’s avowal of the Holy Trinity, hope for the resurrection of the dead, looking for the life of the world to come, lacks the zap to keep Olstein’s audience in rapt subjection. [Clip]

If Olsteen preaches that kind of Biblical heroism his bleachers would be empty, abandoned, and vacated next time he rants center stage.

“Except a man deny himself and take up his Cross daily,” exhorts Jesus, “he cannot be My disciple.”
If we wrap our heads around the true teachings of Jesus, grasp the full reach of both the Old and New Testaments, realize the self-sacrifice Jesus calls us to, then we’ll turn off Olsteen’s television evangelism right quick.
